App: Countlet: Tally Counter (Android, package com.aop.countlet)
Contact: onlineaop+countlet@gmail.com
Countlet is a tally counter: you make counters (for rows, reps, laps, visitors, glasses of water, anything) and count with a tap. In short: your counters stay on your phone. The app has no account and no servers of ours. The only data that leaves your phone because of the app is what Google’s ad service collects to show ads, described in section 5.
All of this is stored in the app’s private storage, which other apps can’t read. We (the developer) never receive any of it.
Countlet allows Android’s built-in backup, so if your phone backs up to your Google account, your counters and settings are included and come back when you set up a new phone. This backup is made and stored by Android and Google under your Google account; we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone’s settings.
Countlet has no way to send your counters anywhere: there is no account, no upload and no export. Your counters only leave your phone through Android’s own backup described above.
The app is free and shows a banner ad at the bottom of the Home and History screens (never on the counting screen). The ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you’re asked for consent before ads use your data for personalisation, using Google’s consent tool. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings > Privacy choices. Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s Android settings.
How Google uses this information: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
None. The app has no account, no analytics and no crash reporting service of ours, and we never receive your counters, history or settings. We don’t sell any information. If you install the app from Google Play, Google may collect information about installs and crashes as described in Google’s own privacy policy; we may see anonymous, aggregated statistics in the Play Console.
Delete any counter in the app (it’s removed for good the next time the app starts), or uninstall the app (or clear its data in Android settings) to delete everything it stored.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with a new effective date.
